Leather Cleaning: The Ultimate Guide for Maintaining Your Leather Goods

Your home is a reflection of your personal style and tastes. From the wall colours to the furniture, every detail contributes to the overall look and feel of your living space. However, decorating a home can often be overwhelming, especially when it comes to choosing the right colours and furniture.

One of the key elements of home décor is colour. The colours you choose for your walls, flooring, and accessories can greatly impact the mood and atmosphere of your home. When selecting colours for your home, it’s important to consider the natural light and the purpose of the room. For example, bedrooms are often painted in calm, relaxing colours to promote rest, while living rooms are often painted in warm, inviting colours to create a welcoming atmosphere.

In addition to wall colours, flooring is also an important aspect of home décor. Carpet colour is a great way to introduce texture and colour into your home, and can be used to create a cozy, comfortable living space. When choosing a carpet colour, consider the existing colours in your home, such as wall paint, furniture, and accessories. You can either choose a carpet colour that complements these existing colours, or you can use a carpet colour as an opportunity to introduce a bold, contrasting shade.

Another important aspect of home décor is furniture. Furniture is not only functional, but it also adds to the overall look and feel of your home. When choosing furniture, consider the size and scale of the room, as well as your style and preferences.

One type of furniture that is both functional and stylish is a leather sofa. Leather sofas are a popular choice for many homeowners because they are durable, comfortable, and easy to clean. In addition, leather sofas come in a variety of colours and styles, making it easy to find one that fits your decorating scheme. When choosing a leather sofa, consider the colours of your walls and carpet, as well as the other furniture in the room. A neutral-coloured leather sofa is a timeless option that can be paired with a variety of colours and styles.

Rug colour is another important aspect of home décor. Rugs can be used to define a specific area in a room, such as a seating area, or to add colour and texture to a space. When choosing a rug colour, consider the existing colours in your room, as well as the style and patterns of your carpet and furniture. A rug can be used to complement the colours in your room, or it can be used to introduce a bold, contrasting shade.

All this information is great in an ideal situation but like me, over time I changed furniture, rugs and wall colours and after 20 years of living in my home it lost some of its décor. With what I know about Dyeing I managed to save thousands by dyeing my leather chairs and lounges (and repairing my dog’s scratch marks) to a colour scheme that suited me.

I had some old rugs that still were good rugs but need a thorough cleaning and colour change to match my leather furniture and wall colour. I do not have carpet in my main rooms of the house so I used rugs to break up the areas of my living and dining space.

In conclusion, colour and furniture are two important elements of home décor that can greatly impact the look and feel of your living space. When choosing colours and furniture, consider the natural light in the room, the existing colours in your home, and your style and preferences. With careful consideration, you can create a home that is both beautiful and functional while not throwing out your used but still very comfy furniture.
